Weekly Winners & Losers
Cocoa and copper continue to make a run for it. Cocoa traded above $12,000/tonne briefly on Friday before settling at $11,878 - nearly $5.00 per pound!
May corn has been on the move as a series of friendly factors have converged in recent weeks.
A March 1 stocks surprise followed by an uptick in demand on the April WASDE moved the May-Jul spread off its lows.
Now, increased export competitiveness coupled with a farmer who is busy in the field narrowed the spread another 3 cents this past week.
