Weekly Winners & Losers
OJ for the win again this week, closing higher for now six consecutive sessions and trading to a new all-time high at 383.20 on Friday.
Everyone’s favorite orange stuff was up nearly 8% this past week, 18% the past month and 105% year-to-date as hurricanes and disease have sent U.S. production to a near nine-decade low.
Chicago wheat just finished out its best week in nearly three months which doesn’t mean too much considering its 4.9% rally was off of three-year lows.
December futures remain down more than $2.50 year-to-date, losing 30.7% since the calendar turned to 2023.
Like wheat, Dec corn saw its best week since mid-July… which, again, isn’t saying much:
