“Change is the only constant in life. Ones ability to adapt to those changes will determine your success in life.”
— Benjamin Franklin
Change is here and its on the agenda at Summit 23.
Join me along with industry leaders, innovators, progressive producers and business professionals from all facets of ag as we gain knowledge and insight into the next generation in agriculture.
Session One: Adapting to a Carbon-Conscious Future in Agriculture
The future is NOW. An understanding of carbon is no longer a matter of preference but a necessity in U.S. agriculture. Join Cargill RegenConnect and other industry-leading panelists to discuss opportunities carbon presents at the farm level plus hear from Eric Kelley, Director of Sales at AmmPower, as he explores the future of fertilizer in a greener world.
Session Two: Renewable Fuel
Ushering in a new era of demand. As climate policies continue to evolve, the biofuels industry is undergoing significant changes, impacting grain and oilseed demand. Join Renewable Fuels Association President Geoff Cooper, CoverCress CEO Mike DeCamp and Tom Malecha, SVP CGB Soybean Processing to explore the implications of this transformation on U.S. agriculture.
Session Three: Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future
Achieving more with less.
We are entering a new era on the farm as precision agriculture, autonomy, and AI-enabled data analysis allow today’s producers to achieve more with less.
Join Than Hartsock, VP of Precision Upgrades at John Deere and Jennifer Ralston, NA Soybean Strategy Lead at Bayer to discuss the innovations shaping the future of production agriculture in the U.S.
Plus, Joe Jennings, founder and CEO of Daitaas, will demonstrate the ways in which artificial intelligence is changing the way we make crop insurance and financial decisions on the farm.
Session Four: Sips & Small Talk
Thursday's sessions come to a close with an afternoon Happy Hour, sponsored by CGB Enterprises, while Matt Bennett of AgMarket.Net and I will recap the day’s highlights and share our thoughts on THE next generation in agriculture, focusing on the future of grain and oilseed demand in the U.S.

Weekly Winners & Losers
Do oats know?
Just kidding. Oats know Canada is planting its smallest oat crop in history (StatsCan records date back to 1908) and drought are contributing to the move.
Dec oats were up 7.7% this past week and +23% the past 30 days making them one of the best performers recently.
Same goes for canola, +6.7% last week and more than 17% the past 30 days.
The recent move in soybean oil has been impressive to say the least, up 8.4% the past 5 days and 40% since May 31.
After bottoming late-May as the RVO announcement loomed, futures rallied on news the eRIN would be tabled and speculation biomass-based diesel would see an uptick in mandated volumes.
The uptick didn’t happen - which sent futures limit down for one day.
The rest is history as oil recovered to make new highs for the move earlier this week, getting a boost from the June 30 whack to soybean acres, weather worries and last Monday’s May industry crush report.
The report saw a large drawdown in bean oil stocks indicating robust demand for oil as prices were competitive among other renewable diesel feedstocks in May.
