February was hot…
…which lent a helping hand to U.S. crushers who were trying to make up for sub-zero temps and blizzard conditions that hurt operations the month prior.
Even though February was two days shorter than January, NOPA members crushed a record 186.2 million bushels of soybeans - edging out January by almost 400,000 bushels and making a new monthly record by almost 20 million!
February was the sixth consecutive new monthly crush record in a row for NOPA members, also hitting a new all-time high daily crush rate of 6.42 million bushels.
There have only been six months in history NOPA members have crushed in excess of six million bushels per day - four of which have happened in the current market year (red dots).
