HOT Damn!

Year-to-date, the Brazilian real is up 6.5% versus the US dollar - a dramatic turnaround from its 22% losses during calendar year 2024.

Year-to-date, March beans have GAINED (I almost forgot how to spell that word) 47 cents in dollars but lost the equivalent of 22 cents in BRL.

Reminder: front-month CBOT bean futures lost $3.20 in calendar year 2024, but only gave up the equivalent of 45 cents in BRL.

Argentine weather forecasts continue to put a bid in the corn market, pushing March futures to 8-month highs:
