Fair share
The shift among biomass-based diesel feedstocks has been significant the past few years.
Although we continue to use record amounts of soybean oil in biomass-based diesel production, bean oil has lost the most market share since the renewable diesel boom began.
Tallow, on the other hand, has gained the largest market share, followed by canola whose percentage-share of feedstocks in biomass-based diesel production has doubled since being approved as a pathway into the RFS in late 2022.
