In last week’s June acreage report dished up big changes few saw coming.
Although none of us liked corn’s surprise two-million-acre increase from March, that bump in area only partially offset the four-million-acre drop in soybean acres.
Some states like IA and IL saw large decreases beans partially offset with more corn.
Others - like NE or SD - saw a large increase or decrease in one commodity that was not offset by the other.
