The Lenten season is upon us, therefore it’s time to give something up.
Yesterday I told Tripp he should probably give up soda or cussing this year. His response was, “hell no, I am not giving up soda.” Perhaps he should give up both!
Genevieve came home from school with ashes on her forehead. When asked who put them there she responded with “Jeeeeeeesas!!”
I decided to forgo alcohol for Lent… please keep the three of us in your prayers!
#10 - Johnny Cash is still waiting in the queue
Brazil’s bean lineup has grown north of 500 million bushels with vessels waiting one month to more than 45 days to load at Brazilian ports.
Johnny Cash continues to wait patiently, at anchor off the coast near Paranagua for a full four weeks now.
Using current line-up data, ANEC estimates Brazil’s February soybean exports will total 8.3mmt (305mbu), which cumulatively puts 2023’s export pace 20% lower year-on-year.
Corn just blew through life #9
Today, corn notched its worst day since early January as weeks of sagging demand finally took their toll.
We won’t get weekly export sales until tomorrow but cumulative sales continue to lag the seasonal pace needed to hit USDA’s (putrid) full-year estimate by 240 million bushels.
In other words - the bar is low and we are still far behind.
Year-on-year commitments should be lower as the 1,925mbu export estimate for 2022/23 is nearly 550 million bushels less than last year, but take note of the large declines with some of our most loyal/long-standing corn customers.
(No, I was not referring to China)
#8 (I have been waiting to use this one)
