Summit 23 | What, When & Where
This immersive, dynamic experience provides a revolutionary opportunity for producers and industry professionals to come together to learn, grow, and connect in early August in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Wednesday, August 2 | 6:30-7:00pm | Broadway Oyster Bar
Join speakers, sponsors, panelists and other attendees at St. Louis’ famous Broadway Oyster Bar the night before the Summit for a Welcome Reception sponsored by CoBank.
Unwind with one of Broadway’s famous cocktails, enjoy fresh oysters, Alligator Cheesecake (you have not lived until you try this) and a number of other small bite specialties.
Thursday, August 3 | 8:00am - 3:00pm | Ballpark Village
Tired of the same old conferences in the same old boring hotel ballrooms? Me too - that’s why I chose an out-of-the-box venue for Summit 23.
Thursday’s events will be held at Ballpark Village - a bar and restaurant complex adjacent to St. Louis’ iconic Busch Stadium.
Believe me - you have not experienced an industry event like this before!
Thursday’s Summit kicks off at 8:00am with a full breakfast including biscuits and gravy, bacon and all your other AM favorites before the Summit begins at 9:00am.
After a brief welcoming intro, we will start our Summit Sessions with carbon: Adapting to a Carbon-Conscious Future in Agriculture.
An understanding of carbon is no longer a matter of preference but a necessity in U.S. agriculture. Join us for an unbiased overview of this complex topic and hear from Eric Kelley, Director of Sales at AmmPower, as he explores the future of fertilizer in a greener world.
The Summit’s second session is Renewable Fuels: Ushering in a New Era of Demand.
As climate policies continue to evolve, the biofuels industry is undergoing significant changes, impacting grain and oilseed demand.
Join Renewable Fuels Association President Geoff Cooper, CoverCress CEO Mike DeCamp and others as we explore the implications of this transformation on U.S. agriculture.
It’s Taco Thursday at Summit 23, where we will break for lunch with a taco and fajita bar followed by a St. Louis favorite - Gooey Butter Cake - for dessert.
We are entering a new era on the farm as precision agriculture, autonomy, and AI-enabled data analysis allow today’s producers to achieve more with less. In our third session of the day, we will be joined by industry leaders and trailblazers to discuss Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future.
Than Hartsock, VP of Precision Upgrades at John Deere, Daitaas CEO Joe Jennings, & Jennifer Ralston, NA Soybean Strategy Lead at Bayer will be on hand to discuss the innovations shaping the future of production agriculture in the U.S.
Lastly, we will wind down the afternoon with a Happy Hour sponsored by CGB Enterprises.
During this session, Sips & Small Talk, Matt Bennett of AgMarket.net will join me on stage to share insights on the next generation of agriculture and the implications for grain and oilseed markets going forward.
AgMarket.net Consulting’s Betsy Jibben will be on hand to help me moderate the event.
Cardinals vs Twins | Doors open 5:30pm, first pitch at 6:45pm
After a brief afternoon break, attendees will unwind and connect at an all-inclusive baseball experience Thursday evening, watching the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Minnesota Twins from the rooftop Bud Deck.
This exclusive private event features spacious open areas and versatile seating designed to spark insightful conversations and networking opportunities.
Upgraded ballpark fare and a premium open bar are included with event registration. Be it burgers, shrimp cocktail served in iced Budweiser beer, St. Louis’ famous toasted ravioli or more - you won’t be hungry nor thirsty during the game!
Additional game tickets are available for purchase HERE if needed for a plus one, co-worker or friend.
The Location | Saint Louis, Missouri
Summit 23 brings you to St. Louis, home of the Gateway Arch, toasted ravioli, the St. Louis Cardinals, and what has been deemed as “America’s Ag Coast” - a stretch of the Mississippi River considered the epicenter of grain-handling in the United States.
Not only does St. Louis play a big role in U.S. corn and soybean exports, but it is home to some of agriculture’s biggest leaders and innovators.
St. Louis is the birthplace of Monsanto (now Bayer), home to Bunge’s global headquarters and innovator CoverCress. It is also where you will find the National Corn Growers Association, United Soybean Board, the U.S. Soybean Export Council, American Soybean Association and the Renewable Fuels Association.
All Summit 23 events are conveniently located within steps of St. Louis’ iconic Busch Stadium.
If flying in from out of town - a rental car is not necessary. I recommend utilizing a rideshare service as opposed to MetroLink.
Hotel recommendations can be found HERE. The The Hilton at the Ballpark is an excellent choice for accommodations, with a room block available for attendees.
Summit 23 | Why
When you look at this - what do you see?
I see much more than a bunch of crush plant expansions and new builds. I see a change that will re-shape the soy industry here in the United States.
What about this one?
With soybean planting running ~2 weeks ahead of average in 2023 - I see not only an open weather window but bigger, faster, more accurate equipment and agronomic advancements that help us grow more with less with each passing year.
And what about this one?
I see a once-discarded commodity that now trades like an energy. Boy have times changed.
So I will bring it back to this: the only constant in life IS change.
Change is here and the only way we can prepare ourselves is commit to learning and keeping an open mind.
Summit 23 is a one-of-a-kind event, bringing together a diverse group of professionals in the agricultural industry, from large-scale producers, to grain companies, traders, finance, renewables and more.
It's not just an opportunity to listen to industry leaders, but it's an opportunity to engage, interact and shape the narrative of agricultural innovation.
I hope you join me in St. Louis this August as we learn together, grow together and make a few new friends along the way.
Registration is $299 and includes Wednesday’s Welcome Reception, breakfast, lunch and Happy Hour at Thursday’s Summit plus the Cardinals vs Twins all-inclusive game experience that night.
Registrants will also receive a commemorative event t-shirt.
There are a few sponsorship opportunities still available. Please email susan@nobullag.com for additional information.
I appreciate your interest and look forward to meeting many of you at Summit 23!
Thanks!
